Comments:

I purchased this bike mostly for commuting, and it works perfect. I commute 20 miles RT and I've got over 1100 miles on it. The front fork dampens shock which makes for a comfortable ride. I took a risk on this bike because I researched that the front fork would shutter when you brake hard. I've never experienced the shutter. We'll see in the future. Otherwise this bike kicks butt.

This is a great bike. I needed to loose weight and this Bike has been perfect for me. I would recommend buying it at Pulse-Endurance. Talk to Mike or Liam

I read a review that trashes the front fork under brakeing. I weight over two hundred and forty pounds and ride if the weather permits 120 miles per week I have not noticed anything other then a perfectly stable ride. I owned a Biancihi Axis before this one and although I think the Biancihi was lighter. The Specialize Tricross feels more solid under me.

I am a large person who needed to find a new method of getting exercise without killing my knees. My orthopaedic doctor recommended cycling. Since I am riding with others who have road bikes, my local bike shop recommended this bike. It is absolutely fantastic, much lighter that bikes I have ridden in the past and very comfortable. The larger tires work for my body type too.

I have wanted the bike since I tested it last september. i tried to Lemond Poprad, a trek Modone?, and a few others. the tricross is the best ride for me. the handle bars seem to be in the perfect position, and the front fork is really as good as they say. the only thing I am missing (with the tricross sport) is the rear tire does not have carbon and you can notice that the fron is smother on your arms vs. the back a little harder on your bottom. It might however be a stronger stiffer startup giving you more power of the bat. I gave it a five becaust you can spend a little more to get the rear carbon (fork?) so this bike is everything i wanted.

        Comments:

The bike has Specialized S-works carbon fork with Zertz inserts, a rubberized insert intended to absorb vibration. Unfortunately, the inserts weaken the fork and cause it to shake badly when the front brakes are applied. This is a particular problem on the larger frame sizes. Specialzed, though aware of the problem, will not stand behind their bike and fix it. Buyers should be wary and look somewhere else!
